Q: So what's new?
A: Dig the music page!!! Substance W is at it again, Spring Session W!
Q: What is "Otibarom"?
A: In carrying with a long tradition of jazz composers (and I suppose non-jazz,
too), Otibarom is Morabito spelled backwards. Got the idea from Horace Silver,
who wrote both a tune and named his publishing company Ecaroh. Sonny Rollins'
tune Airegin is another that comes to mind.
Q: What is Otibarom (.com, Records, Music, etc)?
A: Otibarom.com is the web portal to all things Otibarom. Otibarom Records is
the name for our record label, Otibarom Music is the name of the publishing
company, and Otibarom Etc is for random gear and other things not covered under
the previously mentioned.
Q: Why not just have a personal site? Q: Why not a long list of impressive credits? Q: Do you teach?
A: It's almost like talking about one in the third person - it's kinda fun to
add a seperation between myself and my various goals, not to mention when I hit
it big, I'll need it for tax purposes.
A: My bio has a list of those I can remember, but having a day job for 12 years
kinda cut into racking up the list.
A: I have. I actually really enjoyed it. I find that I'm most natural teaching
the art of playing jazz bass and theory, but you can always contact me if you're
really interested. Drop me an email via the Contact Form under "Links"
